A buddy of mine just got a 97 LT1 Z28. He said everytime he gets on it he can smell gas inside the car and the trunk area. He also smells gas when outside the car.There's no visible gas puddling under the car and no gas leak in the engine bay. He also said that the car stumbles a little on start up. What do you guys think it might be?

I'm thinking a clogged fuel filter...but i haven't actually seen the car to say. Any help would be great as i'm not very familiar with LT1's

 

The charcoal canister filter in the evaporative emissions control system, or the PCV valve could be clogged.
