what type of gasoline do you guys use in your camaro lt1?
i normally use the premium unleaded but due to the high rise in price i began using regular unleaded, will this hurt my engine in any way, and is there a bennifit in using premium over just regular? what does the manual call for?

Manual calls for 91 octane. Using less might cause the PCM to pull timing, less power.

 

i use only 93 octane but if you read in your owners manual you can use any octane gas, as long as it isnt below 86 octane. the less the octane the less performance you'll get from it and you'll hear alot more knocking.

 

Yep, I use the premium stuff too. I tried the low stuff because of price and all it got me was a bunch of knocking under hard acceleration. Not worth it.
