Gasket, or gasket sealer? Rear main housing...

For the aluminum cover that bolts to the back of the block is it better to use a gasket or use the ultra copper gasket maker by itself?

Gasgacinch the paper gasket to the block, then wipe a thin film of silicone on it before bolting on the seal adapter.
