gas tank size?

I was just wondering if anyone knew the capacity of the gas tank on a 95 z28?

Haynes manual says 15.5

My owners manual says 15.5 gal. By the way Shoebox's site has owners manuals on it.

OK, 14.5 useable, good luck getting the last drop with all the crud in it passed the fuel pump and filter

I'll never understand why Chevrolet did not equip the Camaro with at least a 19 gallon tank. People with lots of mods can sometimes barely get 170-200 miles per tank. That sucks.

I'm not sure how F-body fuel system is arranged, but I read somewhere that topping off will put gas in the charcoal canister.

They don't build cars with the intention of others modding them up like we do. They base the tank size on the stock components and what will fit.

It's a little charcoal canister that vents the gas fumes from the tank into the atmosphere. The charcoal absorbs/filters most of the fumes.
