Question Gas gauge question

I recently installed white face gauges in my 95 camaro. All of the gauges work again except my gas gauge. I just removed them again and tried to refit the dial on the pin, but had no such luck. Now it seems as if the dial is not connected at all. Has anyone had similar problems or have any suggestions. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

just a stab, but maybe your dial is too far down on the pin, causing the dial to rub against the guage face? It happened to a friend of mine who installed white guages.
