Gas-ass
Gas-***
I've obviously got some work done to my car, but I've got a concern. NORMALLY I'm averaging around 19mpg in mixed driving, but lately the car has been guzzling gas. I haven't been able to "clear" 16mpg!
Now, I did post in another newer thread that the idle was becoming really erratic and there was a lot of noise coming from the rear of the car (1st inclination was fuelpump, and someone else also seemed to think so), but I just had the fuelpump replaced less than a year ago, and less than 10,000 miles ago.
I've just recently changed a few sensors thus far. I've changed the PCV valve thinking that was defective, and I've also changed the MAP sensor and the TPS.
1st the car seemed to have a "flutter" at low RPMs, which I thought that the TPS seemed to calm down a bit (still not gone though), and the MAP sensor seemed to have "balanced" the erratic idle slightly, but it still feels like there's some type of "miss."
I'm thinking that all of this stuff is probably negatively effecting my gas mileage.
Could the result of a bad fuel pump be a serious gas-guzzling problem?
