now i have read a lot of posts, and before you all say its pointless... i WILL be installing headers shortly after the hotcam install. i was just wondering if i will notice ANY difference at all even with the stock manifolds. i know i wont be taking full advantage of the cam, but im hoping i will at least see a little difference that i can deal with before i do the headers!!

anyone here run a hotcam with stock manifolds for a while? did you notice any difference?! any information would be appreciated! thanks!

 

I believe I saw a dyno chart that showed gains of 39rwhp and about 35 rwtq with just the hotcam kit, can't remember the exact numbers.

 

I installed my cam with headers (GM LT4 hot cam) and barely noticed a difference (sound, and hp gain). IMO i guess it made a difference some where because I had a crappy 60' time and still managed to trap 108mph in the 1/4mile... I was expecting kneck snapping horse power, I think I got my hopes to high. But it is a good cam for the $$ you spend. suppost be worth 20+rwhp with the 1.6 RR's, you get really good lift#'s

 

man just spend the extra cash and get headers
eventually you will want them anyways
