Cool Gains from 2.73s to 3.73s

Just curious on what my gains should be. My best run with kn cold air, z06 maf and SLP loudmouth on my factory 2.73s was a 13.71 @ 101.15 with a 2.103 60ft. Since then Ive added 3.73s with LT4 KM and pcmforless programming. What should I expect with the same weather conditions?

I'd guess around 13.3's, maybe 13'2's.

I gained a minscule amount from the 2.73-3.73 swap. Less than a tenth and mph.

Although I already had a torque converter before hand.

Typically the gain is about 3 tenths if you are getting good traction.

With my 60' time within .03, I gained .47 in the 1/4. And I had traction with the 2.73's, had to feather it off the line with the 3.73's.

My dad used to say that for ever 2 tenths you changed in the gear, you would get one tenth on the track. Just an approximation as tracks, cars, and drivers vary.

I gained about a 1/2 of a 1/10...not very much of a gain, certainly not worth the time I spent installing them and the money I spent buying the parts.

What most people forget to mention is what was the weather like with the old gears and the new gears? Track prep? Full tank, half tank?

Remember I am expecting some gains from the LT4 km and PCMforless programming besided just the 3.73s. I was sayin if everything was the same ( track prep, gas, weather, ) Im sure its not going to be the exact same as it was when I hit my 13.7. I will be happy with a 3-4 tenth gain 2 tenths ahhhhh but not even a tenth or just that Im sure it has a gain. Im also going to be running either BFGs or ET streets.

I picked up about .2 in the 1/8, but I installed 3.73s and Loudmouth at the same time so some gains are from the catback.

Current times are in the sig.

Quarter tank each time. It was about 20 degrees cooler the week after the gears, but it was raining on and off that day. The track was definatly in better shape the week before with the 2.73's. But you make a good point, there are so many variables that we really can not say what gears will do for you. I can say for sure that the car feels ALOT faster and it IS more fun to drive!

When in between with 3:42's, 2/10ths consistantly in the same conditions with no tration issues. But, also most want a bit more gear....
