Was just installing the G2 TA girdle and when I was torquing the the bearing cap stud (5ft-lbs) and it sheared off!?! WTF? is the whole girdle a piece **** now? or can the bearing cap stud be replaced? Suggestions? The torque wrench was brand new as was the girdle/kit, bought "new" off another CZ28.com member who decided to replace his complete rearend. Do you think G2 or maybe TA would sell me just the stud/nut?

 

The studs on these girdles are only supposed to be torqued down to 10 lbs. I would contact G2 and explain to them what happened. They should able to replace the stud in question.
