IS G-Tech acurate???????

im getting big numbers with G-tech i dought that my 1994 TA has this much power, yes i calibrated g-tech the way its ment to be, but i think the results are way to big.

i got this car few weeks ago, all i have done so far is a flowmaster series 40 mofler and KNK air intake, thats all i have done, what the previus driver did i dont know.

this is what G-tech claims.....

346.6HP at 4171 RPm.
464.7 FT-Lb torque.
1/4 mile 13.502s

WTF is this LOL , yes i noticed my car is fast but dammmmm
this g-tech thing is out of its mind LOL, what are u guys opinion on this.

you need to remember, the Gtech is supposed to be used on a completely flat surface. Places like this are very hard to find if you're trying to just drive down the road and test out your car. With my Gtech Pro Competition I got anywhere from 13.7-15.2 It wasn't even worth the amount of time I spent trying to get it to read properly. At a whopping price of $250 (thank god my gf bought it for me) I don't think Gtechs are even worth the time. I could easily just have gone down to the track and ran my car all night long for $7. You live and learn I guess.

i have a passport g timer. it seems really accurate when i bring the car to the track this year i will run it at the same time to see how good it really is. i run it against friends cars who are proven to run at speeds consistantly and my car is a bit faster and my timer says so. you just might have something not put in right

The HP and torque are unuseable on the G-Tech Pro (not the comp).

1/4 mile time and 0-60 time are very close, or should be if the road is flat, but the 1/4 speed is high by about 6%. This is most due to the G-Tech Pro taking your 1/4 mile speed at the very end of the 1/4, versus the track averaging your speed for the last 60 feet of the track.
