Full CAI install

OK, so yesterday I went ahead and installed the holley cold air kit; and the vortech intake elbow. The only thing I noticed was smooth acceleration; smooth idle; and it wants to rev a tad bit quicker. Also I drove to work this morning thru traffic and it's about 34 miles and when I got to work I opened the hood to feel the intake. The elbow was very cool to the touch as well as the rest of the intake; I was happy because my stock intake seemed to absorb a lot of heat. But it was a pain the dairy air to install and line up correctly. For the most part though this was a good purchase and the vortech elbow is nice and so is the Holley Intake!!

not yet; funds are extremely low right now due to the ex-wife but so far I have everything except the gaskets and cam and the time to get it done. I also am going to install some hooker LT's while I'm at it for a few extra ponies...

I picked it up new from a friend of mine for 120.00. How does it compare? well I'm not sure of a comparison but the filter does not go into the bottom of the recess like the other kits but it comes with a seperator plate to block it off from the compartment. It was a tight fit but worked out great. I am trying to find out if she has any more since she had 2 more and I shot them out but if you go to holley's site @ http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...B/120-300.html you can see what it looks like. I like it because it is kind of trick looking especially the filter and like I stated it stays cool to the touch even when my temp went to 190.

Congrats. I've had my eye on the vortech elbow for a while, but I kinda want the Trick Flow elbow instead since it will match my orange stripes.(In case you didn't know, the end attachments of the Trick Flow elbow are orange.) But I got some other mods in plan before i purchase it.

I was going to go with the trick flow but jegs and summit had them back ordered for like 2 months!!! So I said screw it let me try the vortech one and it seems pretty sweet although it 's kind of heavy.
