Re: Full bolt on

Typically, it’s anything that is bolted to the car/engine to produce more HP, that doesn’t require the removal of the intake or heads or bottom end. Forced air or nitrous is not included either (SC or turbo’s) So….

Headers
Catback exhaust
CAI
Different MAF
Throttle Body
Intake Elbow
Electric Water pump
Pulleys
1.6 RR’s
PCM Tuning
Wires
Plugs
Ignition
Knock Module

Also, you can have different rear gears, a new rear axle, suspension, chassis mods, and still be considered bolt-on.

I’m sure I’m missing some…

Dan

Re: Full bolt on

A lot of people consider a S/C a bolt-on.

Re: Full bolt on

Ive heard some people say "if it touches oil its not a bolt-on" so that could take 1.6rr's out. Even though they do just technically bolt on.

Ya but a new set of heads will just "bolt on" to the engine.

Sweet, so we're assuming S/C as a bolt-on?

lol I guess it all depends on which s/c. A Vortech under the rules listed wouldnt be were as a roots/screw or procharger depending on the model would be.

Re: Full bolt on

It is confusing but let me try to clarify. A bolton mod is not a power adder. They are basically designed to free up horsepower that is already there. Power adders are Superchargers, turbos, and nitrous. A bolton cannnot include engine modification with the exception of rocker arms. So basically you cannot separate the heads from the block. Full bolt on means you have most or all the bolton modifications without doing a power adder and without reworking the motor. Make sense?
