I'm in the middle of changing my fuel filter. I went by shoebox's guide. I took off the gas cap, and depressed the schrader valve and nothing happened, but the car hadn't been started in 2 days. I loosened the nut, let the fuel come out...and it's been coming out for 24 minutes. It's not coming out fast, but not dripping.....sort of a very fast drip. It's coming from the fuel tank side, through the filter (I moved the fuel line out of the way and it still keeps coming out of that side of the filter. Is this normal?

 

Yes, the fuel is being syphoned out of the tank, put the new filter on

 

Yeah that's what I did...I installed it while the fuel was pouring all over me but hey it worked

I think that's becasue the pressure relased itself already.

 

same **** happened to me, got fuel all over myself and in my eyes but i got the filter on
