Fuel Rails/ Lines

Okay...

I am new to the game, and I am in the process of installing an lt1 into my rs camaro. right now, teh engine is out of the donor car, and is connected to a borg warner 6 speed.

I know that the fuel rails, lines, and gas tank need to be changed from teh rs to make it a z28.

My question is, are there any brands of these items that I should be looking out for? I dont want to go stock!

thanks,
dan.

Re: Fuel Rails/ Lines

The stock fuel lines on a Z28 is good for 600 rwhp with a upgraded in-tank fuel pump.

Re: Fuel Rails/ Lines

I'd stick with the stock fuel rails. They're nice pieces and can be polished if you want to make them look pretty. Get DOT legal stainless lines and hook up the fuel system yourself. You can get AN fittings welded to the fuel rails and hook it all up easily. Get a Racetronix pump and an FPR and you're ready to go. This is what I'm currently doing to my car.

I also believe Aeromotive makes a complete kit that fits an LT1 but it costs too much unless you are making tons of hp. Your choice though. As for a fuel tank you'll have to go with stock unless you want to put in a fuel cell.
