Fuel rail clips

Starting to assemble a spare intake and rails to swap out and noticed the extra rails I bought does not have the little PITA clips the help hold the injectors in place. The guy I bought the rails off of says this is the way he was running them??? So are they needed or not? If so where can I get them?

Re: Fuel rail clips

they hold the harness down. I don't know where you can buy them seperately, but i know for a fact that if you buy just the harness (advance auto has them) each connector comes with the clip.

Re: Fuel rail clips

In the factory the injectors are installed in the rail long before the rail and injectors are installed on the intake. The clips are unsed to keep the injectors from falling out. You don't need them at all.

Re: Fuel rail clips

I have ran my car without them and had no problems, they are nice to have if you plan on removing the fuel rail again so the injectors will come up with the fuel rail.

Re: Fuel rail clips

If you had larger injectors, youd notice the clips wont even fit. I havent had any problems with the injectors falling out running w/o them.
