Fuel Pump Voltage Questions

Just 2 questions...

What does a fuel pump voltage booster do?

When is when needed?

Re: Fuel Pump Voltage Questions

They increases voltage to the fuel pump, and therefore fuel flow.
Some switch to a higher voltage at a given TPS voltage of boost PSI, while others (such as the one I made https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=810985) ramp voltage up linearly with boost.

They're used as a much simpler alternative to adding another pump when you're pump is maxed out.

Re: Fuel Pump Voltage Questions

I see...so is it only needed for superchargers or turbos?

Re: Fuel Pump Voltage Questions

No, any time your pump cannot deliver the fuel flow required, increase it's voltage and it pumps more fuel.
