fuel pump check valve

WOW! that was wierd. I was about to e-mail you shoebox, two seconds before I saw you replied to my thread. I'm referring to the tan colored "valve" looking thing that is inside the fuel tank assembly, but not actually inside the fuel pump housing itself. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, I was told by a reputable shop about a year ago that my "fuel pump check valve" was bad, along with my fuel pump. everything is out of the car right now. talk about a PITA!

I bleive that you are talking about the float arm for the fuel level sending unit? I think?
They should have that at the dealer as a sending unit and some aftermarket companys as well.
Is that what you mean?

no, it's not the float arm. It's an actual valve, but I don't know for sure if it is called the check valve or what. It is tan in color, and I think the float arms are all yellow in color. mine is.

I belive that is just the port whre the return hose connects. if thats what you mean. excess gas is returned through there and back into the tank. if it;s leaking to the outside it should be replaced, if i;s leaking back into the tank i don;t see an issue unless it;s letting air inside or gas outside
