fuel pressure question

well after going through 3 fuel lines, taking my pump apart 7 times and finnally getting some woven fuel line i fixed my fuel pump problem .. . . i think. i primed the system intially and got an even 20 IBS. primed it again and got a good 40IBS. primed a third time stayed at near 45 then down to 40 steady. Well i left the guage there and in about the time it took me to put the pump all the way in and tighten all the crap down the guage had bled down to near 25-30IBS. is this bad? i heard they werent supposed to bleed but i cant remember if thats beyond 20 or what. can someone shine some light?

Re: fuel pressure question

Have you taken the fuel pump apart, these are enclosed, why not just get a replacement. Its normal for the fuel system to bleed pressure, but it shouldn't bleed this low in few minutes.
