Fuel Pressure, Lost Schrader valve cap

94 Z28

I lost my cap to my fuel pressure schrader valve........i asked about where to find one of these before on here, and i was told to just throw a tire valve stem cap on it.

Well, the problem is, a tire valve stem cap doesn't fit!!! It's a bigger valve!

Anyone have a link, or know where i can get this LITTLE cap at???

Thanks

A salvage yard would be a good bet. The same cap should be used on most GM fuel injected vehicles.

Re: Fuel Pressure, Lost Schrader valve cap

I picked up a couple extra caps at the local junk yard. I took a 7/16 x 20 threads per inch bolt with me to get the correct size cap. Not all caps are the same size so this helped eliminate the guess work. When I bought my car it was missing the fuel pressure and high side ac dust caps. FYI the high side ac cap is m10 x .75 and is more difficult than the fuel pressure schrader valve cap to find.

You can get a brass cap at just about any hardward store for about $1.00 that will fit it. Brass fittings are usually in or near the plumbing isle.

Thanks guys, i will try either a junk yard, or the hardware store. Probably the hardware store, because i can just walk in and out of the store until i find the right size!
