I just recently got my 96 z28 Ragtop its an A4 tranny and I have been noticing it seems to get about 16-17 mpg on the highway. I have also read in other threads about cleaning the Idle air controller and such.

But my real question is at what mileage do things like the coil get changed or should I wat till it shows signs of failure.

Or the o2 sensor. shouldn;t that be chaged like once a year. if so what brands do you guys suggest. I was thinking bosch. Im already planning on the fuel and air filters.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

if you are gettign bad gass mileage, do the maintanence you listed, fuel filter and replace the o2 sensors. if this doesn't help there may be somehting else wrong.

the sensors don't need to be chaged every year...that would get expensive! i'd say maybe every 50k miles? or when they go bad
