fuel line retainer clip help (broken clip)

The little retainer clip inside of the larger of the two fuel lines broke on me today trying to re-attach to the fuel rail.

Anybody have a part number or any advice on replacement? Or, do I have to buy a whole new fuel line?

The little yellow O-ring was destroyed too. The clip's been giving me problems for a year or more now and I have to massage it every time I reassemble. This time it decided it had enough I guess.

Follow up question:

Can I used Earls AN compression fittings on the fuel rail side like in this thread:

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...l+line+fitting

and then use some sort of similar adapter on the ends of the hoses? Or, I guess I'd have to then run braided line from the fuel rail back to the hard lines under the car. I'm assuming that would be a major PITA and not cheap either.

I need the simplest and/or least expensive way to remedy the problem.

GM does not sell the clips inside the fuel line connectors, but some people have bought generic replacement connectors at the parts store. I don't have specifics.

Maybe somebody will chime in. A complete fuel line assembly from GM is looking like $57!!

Check and see if you have enough slack to cut the fitting end off and just use a hose clamp on it.
