fuel injectors too big?

I recently put put my old setup back in the 94 trans am after blowing up the 396.Its a stock engine with ported heads and a gm 847 cam.58 mm throttle body, slp cold air intake, and ported intake.Im running comp cams pro magnum 1.6 rockers. It has long tube headers,no cat and straight through muffler. The car is a 6 speed with 4.11 rear gears.Im also running an electric water pump and a double roller timing chain. It no longer has egr or air pump.I also deleted the a/c.I had to reuse the injectors i ran with the 396 wich are 42 lb and even with a tune i seem to be burning through the gas and have a slight hesitation at low rpm.It pulls hard under full throttle and seems fine.Should i go back to 30 lb injectors? Also what kind of horse power guestamit with this setup? The 396 dynoed at 547 rwhp. Thanks guys.

Do you know if the base pulse width dipping below the 'minimum pulse width' parameter in the tuning?

I'm running 60# mototrons on a stock motor with no idle problems (even before I adjusted the min pulse width).

You can run 42's on stock motor. You must have other problems going on besides injectors.
