Fuel Injector ticking.
Fuel Injector ticking.
I have a loud and annoying ticking sound comming from my driverside Injector/Valve cover area. when you stop on the car I'm almost certain the ticking gets louder. Bottom line it shouldn't be there. Is there a cool way to check and see if it's the Injector or the Lifter? Does anyone know of a good Compressed Fuel enjector Cleaner..the professional type..or should I replace the injectors? Just curious because the previous owner took really crappy care of my car and she idled and ran like sh8t. I've tuned the hell out her and she's running strong..but some things I have yet to look at...like the injectors.
I have the same thing. I thought it was the lifters, but I got a stethascope and pinpointed where the noise was coming from. It's just the injectors making a ticking noise while opening and closing.....pretty normal on LT1's.
The funnything is the Ticking seemed to get louder after I install the headers. I'm blown gaskets and had exhaust leaks before but there's no carbon build up or popping around the exahust ports. It's right in between the Injectors and Rocker area. IF one of the injectors is acting up sould I try cleaning it first? THink that might help?
