fuel injector o-rings

Hey everyone -

recently, I found a vaccum leak in the fuel injector bungs - the o-ring on the firing side of the injecctor was "chipped", and a chunk of the rubber was missing. I'm pretty sure this caused a huge vaccum leak.

Anyhow, I had a couple spare o-rings lying around, but these o-rings were the ones that go into the fuel rail, not the o-rings that go onto the injector tip. I put it on to injector tip, and it was a little loose, but still fit ok. I installed it this way... but i'm still uncertain to as whether it sealed correctly, or didn't.

so my question is - can the o-rings be interchanged, or do I have to get a specific o-ring for the injector tip?

thanks.

I think they are the same,i bought a set from GM and it came with 16 o-rings and they are all the same so i would assume they are for the top and bottom of the injecter.

im pretty sure they are the same. one way to tell is spray some wd-40 on the injector hole and if it revs up a bit you got a leak.

They're the same. Just lube them with a little oil so that they go in smooth.
