Question Fuel Injector????

Do they make noises when they are stuck or going out. I hear a loud tapping (only when i give it good amount of gas) noise that only goes on when it is first started up and it only last about 2 minutes. I know its not anything like the lifters because the noise stops if i let of the gas and let it coast from any rpm's. I am stumped. Im think fuel injectors, but i have no idea. Oh, i also have a loss of power, but its only SOMETIMES.

Fuel injectors tick all the time. Your problem is probably something else. An exhaust leak maybe?

Could be an exhaust leak as the engine is just started, it's "cold" and there is sometimes gaps off one of the manifolds as the engine warms up the seals will do a better job sealing due to thermal expansion...

what would explain the power loss? And remember, it only does it when i apply good amount of gas, when i let it coast the noise goes away. If it was an exhaust leak then the noise would be there all the time til it heated up.

An exhaust leak will always be more detectable under load. An exhaust leak will throw off your O2 readings. Try looking for it when you first start your car, when you can hear it the most.
