It's pretty easy. Located under the car on the drivers side
just ahead of the rear wheel. I found the best info doing
a search on "fuel filter replacement". Be sure to remove
the gas tank cap and have a container ready for the fuel
that will leak out once you disconnect it.

It's easy to replace. It's located under the car right behind the drivers seat. If I recall correctly it is just two plastic clips to pull and it's out.

yeah, it's pretty intuitive, be sure to have something ready to catch the gas.

It wasn't intuitive for the guy that twisted on the large nut on the filter and bent his line into a pretzel.

Procedure

From what I understand, can't you release the pressure from the schrader valve on the fuel rail?

Don't waste time trying to guess why the SES is on. Scan and know for sure. Make use of the diagnostics the car has.

Time to invest in a scan tool. IMO, anyone that works on their own car, needs one.
