fuel cutoff after ~10seconds (security)
I can't seem to figure out the problem here. First about a year ago the car wouldn't crank occasionally, so I bypassed the VATS module under the glove box and everything was fine. Now this happens: car turns over and starts fine, continues to run for about 10 seconds and shuts off. Also, the security light flashes on the dash.
I've read about testing the key pellet and putting in a resistor but that doesn't seem to make sense because the car starts fine and also I thought that when I bypassed the VATS it would just ignore the key pellet/resistance.
Any ideas of things to do or check are greatly appreciated.

One more thing...the key I have doesn't look like a typical key with a resistor in it. It has what looks like two pin heads coming out both sides. When I put an ohm meter on it it acts like an open circuit. Any thoughts?
When I was installing my remote starter, if I tried without the key in, and without the module to bypass the VATS, it would start just fine, then quit like 5 seconds later, with the security light flashing.
I would check your VATS bypass wireing and stuff.
