Frustrated

I just need to vent here. I can't seem to get rid of these stupid problems. I just replaced the windshield wiper motor, which I thought was deffective, but it wasn't. The motor makes this buzzing noise....but once you turn the wipers on it stops....and it only makes the noise when the car is running, not in acc. Once the car was running I unplugged the connector from the motor and it stopped, plugged it in again and it returned. So I know it is electrical. What would cause the motor to only buzz when the car is running, but the wipers work fine??

Then my horn sounds like a dying animal, which I can't figure out either. But horns don't work, and I replaced the horn relay with no luck...only now it sounds higher pitched. Anybody have any idea??

Thanks

Just out of curiosity, is the braided ground strap that goes from the coil stud to the chassis in place?

I would have no idea where that is. The thing worked fine and then one day I was taking all the neons out of my car and instead of pulling all the panels off I just ripped the wires out. Ever since then it has been doing it. I tried to check and see if I could find anything loose, but I don't know what is what under there, there are so many wires.

This was about the motor.

Sounds like you may have caused the problem, then. Now, you are going to have to figure out just what you did, so you can fix it. Perhaps you should have been a little more careful.

yeah, I was taking everything out of the car to sell it. I was looking to get a LS1. Then one of my friends took me for a ride in his 2001 SS and it didn't really impress me enough to justify selling my car and spending more money on the LS1. The horn hasn't worked since I bought the car, but now something is up with the wipers.

Seems like everytime I save up money to put some mods on it, it all goes to fixing things instead....Pretty soon the car should be brand new
