Front wheel stud replacing

How difficult is it to replace? I have the knuckles off the car and disasembled, do they just pound out? or should they be pressed?

Pressing would be easier on it than just beating on the thing, but if you can adequately support the hub flange around the lug, pounding it out should not be too bad.
