Front Wheel ssembly - WSS

My front left wheelspeed sensor is tripping a code. I know I can clean the rear wheelspeed sensors easily by taking out the sensor and cleaning it right up. The fronts don't seem to be hooked up quite the same.

Has anyone here with a 4 wheel ABS system cleaned their Front wheel Speed sensors? If so do you remember how?

The sensor is part of the hub in the front and the whole thing is serviced as a unit. It might be remotely possible that you could find a way to take off the back of the hub where the sensor is and do something with it. There is no procedure that says you can actually do this and it may ruin it anyway. Since the only other option is to buy a new hub, you might give it a shot, just to see if it is possible. Just remember that if you find something broken, you won't be able to find any individual replacement parts.

The same thing happened on my friends Grand Prix GT. We just ran a wire across to the other side and spliced it in. I don;t know if I would reccomend it though, kinda ghetto if you ask me. It worked until the wheel bearing went out and they replaced the whole thing, so it came with a new sensor.
