A buddy and I installed my SLP/Eibach shock/spring set a couple weeks back (thanks JJ!) and ever since, when the wheel travels up or down quickly (due to bump, pothole, etc) it rattles like something is loose. We tightened everything down well when reinstalling things, and it wasnt his first time doing this, nor my first time working on the car (mods below), so I dont think we just 'forgot' something.

One thing I'm wondering is if it makes a difference that we left the dust covers off. Initially they were left off because I'd rather see the chrome shaft than a dusty black boot. But later I realized that the dust covers have about a 1" thick hard rubber grommet...is this 1" more extended strut causing it to be out of spec?
