Front end trouble

Do I have to compress the front spring to take off the lower A-arm? I took off my caliper to paint it and found a busted bushing on the rear mount of the lower A-arm. Also, where does everyone put thier jack stands on the front end?

You don't have to compress anything. When the car is jacked up and wheel hanging free, there is very little, if any, compression on it. Depending on what you are working with, you should be able to find a way to put stands under the K-member. If not, put them under the pads at the front of the front fenders.

Like shoebox said if you have the A arms hanging free they will come out fine, the springs are kinda captured upon the strut/shock.

I guess not. The parts book does not even list the bushings separate from the arm.

THNX I called Cromer and he's got me a set on the way. When I get them in Ill send you the numbers, if you want.
Just for furture reference.
They are $17 (HZRNT), and $38 (Vertical) bucks a side.
Regulars were about $20 a side for both.

There is no replacement for the bushings (generally speaking) the bushings are only replaced with the entire A-arm (a complete waste of money IMO). I think it is easier and cheaper to either replace the lower A-arm with BMR's A-arm or just buy the poly bushing and press them in yourself.
