Friends cavalier
Friends cavalier
Posted this in general tech to...but got no answers. (Mod's if you feel this should be deleted i understand...) but anyway i figured i'd give this a shot in here too....
I know this is for F-body tech, but you guys are very knowledgable...so i figured i'd give this a shot. A friend of mine has a cavalier, and she turned on her brights, and now they won't turn off, she tries flipping the stalk back to the normal position, she tried turning the car off and back on, but the brights remain on...any ideas?

possible the stalk or mechanism inside is broken. I would go to a chev dealer and get them to pull up a diagram of it for her year and see.
Re: Friends cavalier
sounds like the switch inside is goofed...I believe it's in the same assembly as the turn signal switch, which can be replaced without the stalk being replaced...something to check, but it sounds more physical then electrical..

I would have moved it to the Lounge had I seen it. Often times questions get answered in there as well because there are a handful of guys here who peek in over there very so often
There is a HUGE knowledge base here and while it is tempting to ask questions about the ole beater or a friend's non LT1, we don't want to dilute this forum with off topic items like this or the huge knowledge base will leave... know what I mean?
Anyway, glad you got it fixed but lets try to stay on topic. Thanks!!!
