I've heard the term around this website.Are they just things you can mod w/out spending any dough.What's the deal. Mike

 

yeah you can remove the air system, bypass the throttle bodie, remove the air system, remove the air silencer, and i think i am missing one

 

Are there any sites/directions how to do this. Any HP gain

 

hp gains on them are minimal. the most usefull one is the tb bypass. there are serveral guides on how to do this. just do a search.

 

"free mods" for me consisted of the following-

TB bypass
Gutted MAF
Gutted cats
FR sway bar removed
Fan switch mod (had the parts lying around- so i consider it free)

my 170* therm was only 3.95 so i almost consider that a free mod


these are all mods that were free and done myself. pretty simple. just do a search.

Tb bypass is the most gain you'll see out of the free mods..

its not totally free (1.00 or so), but pretty damn close

 

The TB bypass is free if you dont want to cap off the open ports on the TB. All you have to do is take the pass side elbow off and put the driver side on the line in place of it.
