Free Mods?

I was just wondering if there are any 'free mods' to do to my 94 Z? By that I mean like how the early 90s GM trucks had the restrictive tubing the the fender, etc. Is there anything like that or something else I can do just to clean things up a bit and maybe get a tad more power? Thanks

There's no way I can cover it all in one post... your best bet is to do a search for "free mods" or topics like these:

--TB [coolant] bypass
--!MAF (descreening and porting the MAF sensor, a controversial yet common mod)
--Homemade cold air intake (CAI)
--Intake elbow mods (e.g. removing the "donkey dong" intake silencer and blocking off the leftover hole with a Pert shampoo cap)

EDIT
{

And for the lucky SOB's without emissions laws...

--!AIR
--!EGR

}

I think there are a couple more ones out there, but you get the idea. Keep in mind, this will not give you any drastic gain on horsepower. However it will give you a nice primer as far as starting to mod your car.

Good luck!

Well, that CAI and TB bypass should give about 10 RWHP total.......the other ones aren't good for much, maybe 4 total....

I don't expect to get much from these mods, probably why they are called free. I just want to get rid of some stuff that is either restrictive or not really necessary.
