I bought an ait performance modual off of ebay for 26.00$ and it seems to do the same thing as what you guys are talking about but probabily alot easier to install....of course it costs the extra 25.00$...if anybody's interested it's made by a company called ZERO GRAVITY....btw i noticed a little bit of difference in the acceleration with it...more than a gms mass air flow censor..

 

Well what "him" doesnt know is that I installed a "Transmission performance switch" in my otherwise stock 95 Z28 A4 and when the switch is activated it goes into quicker swifts,, more agressive, and more solid too, It holds in the same gear longer in relationship with how much you pressing on the gas pedal as opposed to the normal mode (before switch was installed or activated).


So if my camaro is on performance mode all the time, what is this other new tranny mode called? the Super Performance mode?


If I push the switch again or turn the car off it reverts back to the original mode,,, takes a longer time to switch gears, softer shifts...etc etc etc..

On the cigarret lighter plastic holder....(cant find better words).

Ok the cigarrete lighter is held in place by this plastic piece and there is empty space above and below the lighter itself. I measured the distance above and below and and drilled two small holes. one for the LED above and one for the switch below.


I got me a black swith and a small led from radio shack... it you look and its color coordinated (dam I am talking like my ex g/f now ). the little plastic insert comes off if you pray carefully with a flat screw driver. My mod looks factory installed... well actually invisible!! just the way I wanted it

where did you ground the wires too? I was thinking the fuse box but how would I use a empty slot??? <--- for the Led light and ground the switch to the cigg lighter what did you do? and thoes wire are to splice are underneath the pass kick pannel right but how would I know witch set are they numbered or a certain color or something thank you for your help mental

 

One thing "cheep" no one has mentioned is the manual fan switch.. One of my favorites so far! <$20 in parts from Radio Shack.

 

Well as you can see in my screen name I am sorta special guy.... I didnt do it as it is explained on the guide I got from Shoebox (I think I got it from him) people use the fuse box I used the Radio!!!! Don't ask!! it was just closer than anything else I could find and its just the way I did it.....

i was looking at the stock lt1 edit file from a Z28 and T/A and noticed the pressure of a Z28 normally is the pressure of the T/A in performance mode

so maybe you are in super-performance mode

 

could u put up some detail on what we need and how to install it thanks

 

I havent driven a T/A but I can tell you that the PCM works the shifts more agresevely too its just not the pressure alone and at least on my Z28 the shifts are more solid... So where is this coming from?


Look more into it, ask other people who have installed the performance mode... Also the delay to switch gears at any RPMs and any Gas pedal angle are reduced when you activate the switch...

There is a difference with and without the switch activated on a Z28 and I its not my imagination...

on this website right here what is it on a OBD1 or ODB2

and if I have a 95 LT1 do I have a ODB1 or ODB2

 

OBD1 same as mine. Mine even has twin Cats and yet still OBD1.

so do i have odb1 or 2 i have one cat and my fans dont have low and high speed one turns on at 190 and other fan turns on at 210 ? so which one is for me ?

 

once both wires are in the car under the pass seat what did you use for the good 12+ source and grounds????
