Freak 93z cam questions
Freak 93z cam questions
I did a search on cams and see a real debate between the cc305 and cc306. My car is an everyday driver, stick, borla shorties, no converter with 3inch exhaust, 1.6rr, cold air +air foil, gasket matched heads to intake, and pcmforless tune. The car is running high 12's and going almost 110mph. I just bought lt4 valve springs (Not installed) b.c mine are shot...(227,000) miles.
Will the lt4 springs work with the cc306? What happened to everyones gas milage when they switched cams?
Finally what cam is going to work better for me.... Hot cam, cc305 or cc306? I race alot and remember my milage....I just dont wanna be dissapointed with the cc305
Anyone ever use the ebay version of the lt4 hot cam that costs 135? 544/554 lift with 1.6's and 112LSA.

Re: Freak 93z cam questions
LT4 springs will not hold up to a CC306, they are just barley enough for the LT4 cams. The 306 will sound meaner, but on stock heads with no converter, I;d stick with the CC305 or a X,e 224/230/112. Thats a ton of miles, if you plan on rebuilding and getting heads and long tubes, may as well get the CC306 and reuse it. Gas mileage with a tune shouldnt be to terrible, it aint goin up I can tell you that much
