Found out why car dies!!!!
Ive been having a problem with my car just dieing randomly on me and would not start back up unless sitting for a long time. I decided to try my luck and go to the track last weekend. I made it all the way to the track with no problems. I parked the car to let it cool down and about 2 hours later I went to make a pass. I got in the car and what do ya know, it wouldnt start. I knew the problem was fuel related but couldnt figure out what was up. So I had my buddy bring is tools over to my car. I did the fuel pump trap door method a while back (thank god) so I unbolted the fuel pump and pulled it half way out. I noticed the connector up at the top wasnt on there all the way. So I pushed it on there further and had my wife turn the key, woohoo the fuel pump turned on. So I bolted the pump back in and made 2 passes and drove her all the way home with no problems. What a relief to finally have figured out what was going on with the car. Thanks for reading. Dustin.
that's what troubleshooting is all about.
check the relay...check the fuse...check the wiring, check the unit...that's about all that's in the circuit other than the switch...
good find, and a cheap fix. about an hour's work and some friends.

On the starting problem i solved. The car would not start if i tried to start it warm or hot. The starter was expanding so the contact was not made until it cooled down. I have never heard this before but hope it helps others.
I seriously doubt that was the problem. If you think about a connector that was not seated properly. Wouldn't you have a problem when you hit bumps for example?
I hope it was the problem, but ?????????
I did check the fuel pressure. That is how I knew it was fuel related. I tracked it down to the pump because after the car would die, I could not hear the fuel pump turning on, therefor I knew it was the pump. Also, I know it was the connector because when I pulled the pump out, the second I pushed up on the connector and had my wife turn the key, the pump turned on. To eliminate it just being a hoax, I pulled on the bottom of the connector with just a little pressure and had her turn the key, fuel pump didnt turn on. Pushed back up on the connector, turned the key, fuel pump turned on. I am positive that was the problem.
