Well I just noticed that a header bolt is missing from in front of the #8 primary tube on my AS&M's...

could this have been causing any possible leak? running rough?

I was missing a bolt on the back of my #8, and i had no idea until i heard a leak and replaced the gasket.. You'd hear a leak first.

Don't get me started on bolts falling out...

It's a long story but the just is i use Dead soft aluminum gaskets and i told the dealor they need to be crushed and to over torque them.......well guess what they didn't listen......so i'm driving down the road...(pedal to the floor like always) I hear this ping and sounded like something hit the firewall.......i look up in my rear veiw mirror and i see this little black thing bouncing behind me........i was like hmmmmm must have been a rock get home......was like 1/2 mile away....and find a bolt missing.....it was the front one gasket had burnt through.

Lets just say they bought the 50 dollor gasket and put it in for free.

But in your case the gasket may or may not have bunt through--what type is it? Try bolting it back down and seeing if it leaks----if it does replace the gasket

Could it cause rough running or leaks? Sure.
Maybe you should get a set of Stage 8s.
