Forged 396 and piston slap...

Anyone out there with a stroker with forged pistons getting piston slap? I've never heard it being a problem before, but now that I have mine installed I'm definately hearing some knocking upon start-up. Someone told me that it was normal for forged pistons, but I've never heard this before. The noise is loud enough to be heard a few feet from the car with the hood down. Anyone care to comment? Thanks.

I don't have one but I've been told by a couple engine builders and one of our sponsors that a 396 doesn't have the best rod angle and skirt scuffing and piston slap are a possiblity.
I've also had them tell me they build them all the time but they wouldn't build one for themselves.
