Here's my input, even though he is 16, he may know a lot more than we are giving him credit for. I have met some very immature 16 yr olds and I have met some that acting like they were 30. But like everyone is saying, do as much research AS POSSIBLE before buying something or getting in a bind and not knowing what to do.

I am running the LE2 kit right now with the LE ported intake on a stock bottom end and the car put down 403RWHP. My plans for this winter are a complete forged bottom end so I can spray a big shot on it for the LTX shootout.

I got lucky and bought this car already set up. Full suspension, rebuilt motor, tranny, and rear end. Overall after selling my car and various parts I had laying around, I was only in the hole 2K when this car had well over 12K in mods alone.

Look into the Callie rotating assemblies, they sell one utilizing the stock crank for a little over 1K and one with there forged crank and all the bearings you need for right over 2K. I don't know if AI is a sponsor or not, but that is most likely where I am getting mine.

As many people have said, the stock crank is very strong for being factory. I have seen people spray up to a 350 shot on it. But just like anything else, it is a hit and miss thing. My goals for this winter are a 12 bolt, shocks, springs, finish my direct port setup, and then do the forged rods and pistons utilizing the stock crank in a 4 bolt main LT1 block. I am doing this to try and save that extra 1K, I don't spray my car much so I'm hoping the stock crank will be good, and then doing the 4 bolt will help minimize crank walk.

FYI, I am going to spray a 125 shot on the stock bottom end with the LE2 setup until I do get the other block and internals done.
