Ford injectors

I have a set of ford yellow injectors from a ford 5.4 liter with the part Number of: FOTE-D5A 280150973. Does anyone know the .lb rating of these and if they would work on my LT1, and if so, be beneficial. Mods in sig...thanks!

Those are 19#/hr injectors..considerably smaller than your stockers. And that's measured at a pressure of 43.5 psi.

Re: Ford injectors

BW, thanks a bunch for the confirmation....I did a search and I thought that's what I was reading (google)....but the search result was a bit vague. What is the highest #rating I could/should go with that wouldn't require any kind of custom tuning? Don't really have many supporting mods, just 52mm TB and Shorty headers at current. Thanks!

Re: Ford injectors

Unless your current injectors are defective, changing them will not do anything. You do not have enough in the way of modifications to require larger injectors. Your stock injectors are 24 #/HR @ 43.5psi, and are programmed as 24.9 #/HR in the PCM. Large enough for maybe 360 flywheel HP.

Re: Ford injectors

If you change the injector size at all, you will want to retune for them. I'd wait until you have a need to do it.

Re: Ford injectors

Thanks for the input Fred/Rob, I am doing intake gaskets, and timing cover seals as we speak....have it all apart and figured now would be a good time. I'll definitely stay with my 24# stockers for now since they are problem free
