How loud are yours? Ever since I put my HOT cam kit in last year I can't help but think they're adjusted properly.

Under normal conditions, they're not very loud when the engine is cold. Once the engine is up to temperature, I don't really hear them unless I'm around 1500 RPM or less. I dunno if the exhaust drowns it out above that, but I don't hear it once I'm cruising, it's just when I'm poking around in parking lots and stuff or when I'm next to a wall, I can hear the "clatter" bouncing off the wall.

I know that they're going to louder than the stock stamped peices.

The car runs great otherwise.

 

Are they the LT4 rockers? Are you still using stock valve covers? Mine were always noisy as hell...same as yours, you wouldn't hear them too much until you were next to a wall or something. I ended up getting a set of aluminum valve covers...that quieted them down a bit, but I could still hear them a little at idle. I've been told that it's just the way self-aligning rockers are...you'll always be able to hear them clattering to some extent.

I've heard that the LT4 valve cover quiet them down nicely, anybody try them?

I doesn't really bother me, it just made me think that I didn't have them adjusted correctly (adjusted them like 6 times before).

 

The LT4 rockers seem to be noiser than Comp Cams, but it still normal.

 

I have the hotcam kit and then I eventually got LT4 valve covers. They look awesome and do quiet it down a good bit. Even adjusted properly (I'm sure mine are now after several adjustments) they are still a little noisey even with the LT4 valve covers.
