Flywheel???
Flywheel???
Is it ok to resuface the flywheel??? If so do you need to shim it??? Also the only reason im asking is it's not crack and its still smooth but their are some heat spots in it... What do you think???
Leave it alone, resurface it, or buy a new one???

Well, why do you want to resurface your flywheel? Are you changing clutches? If you are, I would highly reccommend you take it to an automotive machine shop and have it surfaced. You don't need to shim it, it doesn't change anything, because the platforms for the pressure plate bolts are surfaced as well, so everything stays relative. There's no real pros or cons to it, its just something you need to do when you swap clutches. I didn't feel it was worth the money to buy a new flywheel when I changed clutches recently. The only problem you can run into is if the flywheel becomes too thin (much like brake rotors). If this is the first or second time its been surfaced, you should be fine. I had mine resurfaced and checked for cracks for $30.
