Are you running headers? or stock manafolds? If stock I believe its m18 if its headers say 93-95 style then its m22 drain plug.. You can get them at napa...

I'm running SLP shorties. Oh yeah, what about that tube that goes inder the motor? Doesn't it go to the back of the passenger side head? Maybe I'm wrong but if so don't I need to cap that? My motor is going back in this coming week and I forget what it looked like.

Are you talking about the EGR tube....comes off the passenger side header and goes to the intake manifold. If so...I just block it off and get rid of the egr crap too.

Now the tube that goes under the motor in the front is part of the AIR and you can trash that if your removing AIR.

He's talking about the AIR crossover tube. Mine's still there. Havent been able to take it out yet. You can just leave it if you want.

It doesnt go to the pass. side head. You're confusing the coolant crossover hardline behind the heads. The AIR crossover just goes under the motor and hooks up to the AIR fitting the same way as the driver's side. Think of it as a big "U".

Okay...but both heads in the back have these holes that something bolts too. Guys forgive me if I sound like an idiot which I do. I just got my motor in pieces and trying to do everything at once. P&P heads. hook up coolers, gauges, put motor together. I'm just confussed right now. But anyway, what are those tubes that go behind each head?

I found it on Shoeboxes site. It is the EGR pipe to the exhaust manifold. Okay next question......what part of the manifold does it attach to???? lol. Remember I got SLP shorties.

Can someone confirm if this is the right size equal to an m-18 drain plug? " 3/4-16 x 3/4 ??

Thanks

Dude, do yourself a favor and get a manual. The line going to the back of the heads is a coolant line.

I hardly take Shoebox's comments as in indication that he is "pissed off"..... he is only trying to help you understand that it is a he!! of a lot easier to do this kind of stuff if you use a good manual. There is an awful lot of incorrect info that gets posted on these threads..... I wouldn't rely on the internet to assemble an engine.
