Fluid dampers on EBay right now

While replacing my timing cover, I have the stock damper off, I can see some small cracks in the rubber but it appears sound. 97Z28 with 108,000 miles. I was wondering about a couple of fluid dampers on Ebay right now:

Especially that last one at $95.

Anybody familiar with these? If it will reduce noice and engine vibration it seems like a good deal for the price to add some longtivity to the bottom side of the motor.

Opinions? Thanks!

Post Intresting you should ask

I went throught the same thinking you did when i discovered my damper was showing some sighs of wear. After all the negitives I read about cheap ones and even the hig end one. I bought a new one and hub from Sam Taylor. I think about $190. with $135 being the damper.
Long story but many years ago I bought a power pully set from a name brand supplier for a Chevy truck. A week or so after I noticed vibrations at certain rpms and given the age of the truck i let it go, chalked it up to old age of the truck. Anyway about 2 years later new motor new transmission, as in GM crate, same vibration. I was freaking out. Then realized only thing i reused was the power pully set. Put the new crate stockers on and it ran perfect! So the moral of the story is unless you got a high end motor dont use the low end balancer. Unless of course you get it and have it balanced with your crank and flywheel.
just my 2 pennies
