FLP users, i have a slight problem
They guy putting on my FLPs said the y-pipe was not fitting, Said the y-pipe and part of the frame were not fittinf correct. He said he would have to cut/bend the part of the frame. I will be going up tonight or tomorrow to look at it, but i wanted to ask and see if anyone has a slight conflict with these things fitting on. This does not sound good to me.

If it's the driver side, I had the same problem with my LS1. It came off of the collector and went right into a brace in the floor pan that the tranny cross member bolts to. I took a BFH and beat the crap out of it untill I had sufficient clearance. I hope they have stong arms and have alot of energy. The y-pipe doesn't bang, but I also have a poly trans mount which limits travel. Hope this helps.

i have the same problem, i've had mine on for a year and a half. the y-pipe has never aligned properly, i just got it as close as possible. there are leaks in the collectors and the y-pipe hit the floor with the cats on but not with the OR pipes. also when i took my carpet out of the car i noticed a brown heat spot on the floor right above the drivers side cat. let me know if they had to cut or bend that brace so i can do it as well. thanks

I havent had that problem but my Y pipe also fits like crap. After I get emissions tested this weekend I am going to rip that focker out and have a shop make me a custom slip fit one. Mine leaks all over the place and sounds like ****.

Mine recently became loose and began buzzing and rattling. I had to have it welded before it would get worse. A friend of mine has a 94 Z28 and he said his leaked terribly when he had to have his fixed.
