FLP Long Tubes

I'm looking into getting the FLP Header kit (Headers, y pipe, cats, and off road pipes). Does anyone have any experience with these? I've only heard good things about them and I just wanted to make sure.

I was looking into the Jet Hot long tubes, but i realized that i'll need a y-pipe and cats to keep the car from beeing EXTREMELY loud on the street. Pricing these all together came to about the same as the FLP's so I think I'll go that route.

My FLP's went on okay, but had to be removed again to be modified for plug access. The tubes are really close to the plugs and access for plug and wire is tight to say the least.

Other than the plug/wire access issue and the fabrication issues I had with the y-pipe, they are a nice header.

too pricey for $1200 bucks I can do a lot more with JetHot headers I have no complaints, plenty of clearance for plugs and wires and no fitup problems. Of course it's still a pain in an LT1. Hooker headers are the same as far as fitup and clearance as JetHot. I did look at FLP but I also do not care for their 2-1/2" ypipe design, it's stupid when you have a 3" collector off the headers and a 3" catback.

I dont like my FLPs. If I had to do it over I would get the Hooker LTs. The FLPs bang the floorboard on shifts, and the coating on them is coming off. When I called about the coating they said it wasn't of their concern.

IMHO, just get the JetHot Long tubes offroad Ypipe and a quiet catback. (like dual/dual or Hooker) After a while you will get used to it being loud and want it louder!
