FLP Level 4 Trans & 3600 stall
Well I finally did it. I now have the FLP Level 4 trans & decieded when it was apart to have my converter re-stalled. I still have to get my gears done again cause they are F*ck*d up. However I did get to lean into it from about 20 MPH. I'd just like to say DAMN!!! It seems to be a bit quicker especially in 3rd. It shift instantly at 5900 rpms. ( Soon to be 6300 RPMS ) It is really sweet. Now once the gears come I should be all over the 11's with stock heads....
Just thought I'd share.....

So how do you like the FLP tranny overall?? I am going to be getting one the first part of May, and I will also get my Vig restalled to either 3600 or 3800, I just havent decided on what I want yet with this lrge cam. What is the break-in period for that tranny?? Does it shift nice and hard at WOT?? Do you ever go up to Byron or Route 66 to race?? I always race at Byron and will be up there once I get my tranny and 6 point roll bar installed this year. Well good luck to you ya.

Hey how does your restalled converter drive at part throttle in town compared to your 3200? I am awaiting a Vig 3500 today and will be swapping this weekend. I am thinking I will be able to go 11.90's with my little Hotcam with 3.42's and a heavy T/A if I can get some decent weather here before it gets too hot.
Camaro90RS... I really think the trans is solid. I am having serious rear end gear issues that need attention immediately that is keeping me from an honest power run. I am getting serious clunking & extreme deceleration whining that is transmitting all the way through the trans.. But like I said under my one small power run it really feels tight especially my 2-3 shift. Chuck told me he would like to see at least 200 miles of driving on the trans before I go & slap my ET Streets on & take it to the track. I have been at Byron but it is a bit of a ride so I doubt I will be back. Route 66 is in my back yard. About 15 minutes...
T/A LT1... I can't even tell the difference between my 3200 & 3600 under normal driving conditions. I am one how is pretty critical & always second guess some of my decisions however so far under normal driving I am happy with the 3600. I'll let you know about the track when I get there... Good Luck on your quest for 11's too..
Ken... I hope so. I am still heavy though.. 3700 pounds..
