Smile Flowmaster muffler results...

Well, just put in a Flowmaster 80 Series muffler in and the car finally sounds like a muscle car should I have heard a lot of guys saying that the Flowmaster flows pretty bad, I was just wondering about this: Since I have put the muffler, I feel like I have gained some of my low-end torque back. The car responds much better to throttle inputs.
A good flowing muffler would give more power at the high end I believe (correct me if I am wrong). So is it actually the bad-flowing nature of the muffler that is causing this increase in torque (I haven't dynoed so I am not even sure if I gained any torque)? Will back-pressure from the muffler help out low-end torque a lot? If that is the case, I am glad because I was starting to miss the low-end I lost with the HotCam a little bit Thanks.

Yes backpressure can help low end torque. Although its probably not a huge difference you can probably feel a little bit of a difference from the two.
